🌿 Journey Care Therapy – Walking with you, Wherever you are 🌿
Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or lost in the chaos of life? You’re not alone.
From the outside, you might look like you have it all together, but inside, the constant pressure to "get it right" can feel exhausting. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, ADHD, perfectionism, depression, self-doubt, or life transitions, it’s easy to feel like you’re falling behind. I am here to help you break free from the stress and uncertainty that keep you feeling stuck.
With a background that spans over 20 years as a Licensed Professional Counselor, high school teacher, and school counselor (GCISD, LISD, CISD), I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside people in all stages of life. I get how hard these transitions can be—because I’ve seen it up close, and I’ve helped people work through them.
For teens, it’s that mix of pressure to do well, fit in, and figure out who they are—while social media only adds more stress, comparison, and self-doubt. Young adults often face a whole new world after high school—college, careers, relationships, and big decisions can stir up anxiety, second-guessing, and the fear of not being "enough."
And for adults, life can feel like a constant balancing act—managing work, family, relationships, and big life changes, all while trying to hold onto your sense of self.
In the approximate 55-minute sessions, clients find a supportive space to unpack what’s weighing on them and move toward clarity—at their own pace. I work with individuals dealing with:
✔ Anxiety (including social anxiety, high-functioning anxiety, and panic attacks)
✔ ADHD in teens and adults, helping with focus, productivity, and executive functioning
✔ Depression, self-doubt, and perfectionism
✔ Life transitions, including career shifts, college stress, and "adulting" or "failure to launch" struggles
✔ Attachment wounds, boundary setting, self-esteem challenges, and relationship issues
✔ LGBTQIA+ concerns and identity exploration
I help clients develop healthy coping strategies, set boundaries, quiet their inner critic, and reconnect with their most authentic selves. Through CBT, ETT, and Inner Child Work, I offer practical tools to manage stress while fostering emotional resilience and self-compassion. Clients often describe me as warm, genuine, down-to-earth, and easy to talk to—someone who makes even the toughest conversations feel manageable, insightful, and sometimes even a little humorous.
Outside of the office, I enjoy traveling—especially by cruise ship—spending time with my wife, Emmy, my three grown kids, and our two mini-dachshunds, Sasha and Bella (who secretly run the house). I believe therapy should be a place where people feel safe, supported, and empowered to create the life they want.
At Journey Care Therapy, I offer in-person sessions in Flower Mound, TX, conveniently located within driving distance from Grapevine, Coppell, Lewisville, Carrollton, Irving, Frisco, Lake Dallas, Plano, and other nearby cities. I also provide online telehealth sessions for anyone across Texas, making support accessible.
No matter what you’re going through, you don’t have to figure it out alone. If you’re ready to take the next step, reach out today and start your journey toward clarity, confidence, and emotional freedom.
